Hello and a warm welcome to Transfromational Therapy. My name is Hugh James Clarke, I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and hold a professional qualification, MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy. I work in a integrative and relational way which means I draw from a range of theoretical approaches. My therapeutic model is based on a humanistic integrative approach in which I integrate, Existential, Gestalt, phenomenological, neuroscience and developmental theories. I have over 25 years extensive experience working with people in various roles. I worked as a Careers Advisor for the Connexions Service, this job involved giving advice and guidance to young people. Also I worked in the Local Authority with Looked After Children in the Leaving Care Team, this role involved supporting vulnerable young people, carers and their families with a range of social and emotional issues, I have undertaken 5 years of extensive training on a Masters Degree programme form which I have gained a wealth of knowledge to work therapeutically with people in psychological distress. As a Psychotherapist I have had 4 years clinical practice experience working with a range of clients. I am passionate about my work, supporting and empowering people to make changes, improve their well-being and life.
Mental Health and Psychotherapy
Psychological distress can take many forms and usually manifest as stress, depression, anxiety, addictions, sleep problems and many other relational issues. Psychological trauma can often be the root causes of issues people have and sometimes people are unaware of specific life events but they have a significant impact on their mental health.
Identifying and understanding these issues and treating the root cause can lead to transformational long-lasting personal change.
Psychotherapy can enable you to understand yourself better in a unique way, change your thoughts and behaviour so you can move forward in a more constructive way.
I believe human beings have the potential and the ability to find the best way to achieve growth and change.
